![]() I guess many many people have had trouble free transfers this summer, and our issues were in a minority, but it wasn't the greatest of experiences and I think if you are wavering over getting a taxi or saving money by getting a transfer, then I think I would say just save up a few more pounds each month towards your holiday and get the taxi. So, be warned, given our experience, and the number of other issues seen on here in recent weeks, Palma Coach may not be the most reliable of companies Hoppa are currently sub-contracting work to. ![]() I think another £15/20 gesture of goodwill might have been in order perhaps too, but there you go. I have had a refund of our taxi fare and the transfer we should have had. I have complained to Hoppa about our treatment, and after 3 weeks received an apology of sorts, though no explanation of any kind. Even then, it's only 7.15am, four hours before our flight! 85 euros and one hour later we get to the airport. So, I had to find the nearest ATM, draw some more Euros out, then drag our cases to the nearest taxi rank to find a taxi. I tried calling back but each time was cut off, presumably deliberately. I was met with basically a "tough luck" attitude. Of course, as bad luck would have it, I was down to my last 20 euros or so, didn't want to draw anymore out the bank on our last day, and told them this. ![]() The operator told us we would have to get a taxi and complain afterwards. Palmanova Tourism Palmanova Hotels Bed and Breakfast Palmanova. Not one bus, apart from the Transunion one had come down our street, never mind stopped near our hotel. Answer 1 of 7: Can anyone tell me if Resort Hoppa take you to your hotel or drop/pick up at a set point in Palma Nova All being well, we arrive next Thursday for a very well earned break. After a long wait whilst the operator checked with the driver, I was finally told that the bus had been up and down the street, had waited 15 minutes and could not see us and had departed to the airport without us. So, I called the Palma Coach hotline at 5.45am. They later got on a different provider's bus, Transunion. Unfortunately they did not speak English so was unable to understand. By 5.30am we were getting worried, but there were people further down the road at another hotel, clearly waiting for a pick up, so I went to ask them if they were waiting for Hoppa/Palma Coach. You can't really go wrong, It's right in the middle of Cala Millor just off one of the main streets, next to the pedestrianised parade. This was on a road where you drive down, get to the end and have to drive back up it. So we were up at 4.30am, waiting outside our hotel at 5.00am and the bus never turned up. So I expected, given we should have been at the airport around 9.00am, a 90 minute transfer say, a pick up time of around 7 - 7.30am, No chance. Our more concerning issue was the return transfer. We finally arrived at our accommodation at 11.00pm disappointed, but shrugged it off and got on with our holiday. I did complain about the wait after 40 minutes or so, to be faced with a shrug of the shoulders and "there's nothing I can do" from the woman at the desk. We left the airport in the shuttle bus at 9.40pm! We arrived at the Palma Coach desk at 8.25pm to be told they were only waiting for 2 passengers, then we would be on our way. We were told this year that Hoppa's new provider was Palma Coach. Our holiday was 3 - 18 July, staying in Cala Milllor, so we knew we were in for a bit of a trek from the airport, but we'd done it before with no major issues apart from one year when the transfer to Cala Bona took 2.5 hours from arrival at their desk at the airport.įirst worry was a change to a "new provider" we had to report to at Palma Airport. Also, there is a chance that your flight would coincide with you being the last on the coach at which point you really are quids in.įor a fiver, I really couldn't complain or expect anything more.Īt Alcudia, I hired a car mid holiday from Vanrell and used that to return.Just wanted to tell you all about our experiences with Hoppa this summer, given there seems to be an increasing number of issues this year in Majorca. The coach is Airconned from when you get on it, there's space for a seat by yourself. Same as the plane really, I just get my headphones in, watch another film on the iPad, read more of my kindle or listen to a podcast on the iPhone. Transfer time was about 90 mins as we went to port pollenca first - I was actually one of the first off though and in the port of alcudia rather than any of the hotels. Sadly, I was the first person on the coach and had to wait 60 mins for it to fill up (yes, 15 mins over the "you won't have to wait longer than 45 mins promise - this was the same last year when I used it as well). Cost me £5.17 to get from Palma to Alcudia (keep an eye on the side of your browser for current voucher discount codes while you're booking).
